Louisville's own living legend of women's basketball, Angel McCaughtry, has joined former stand-out center Pervis Ellison as the lone Cardinals to be selected #1 overall in their respective drafts. Angel was drafted by the Atlanta Dream earlier today, so make sure you save up for that authentic jersey.
Not that I'm a WNBA fan by any means, but it is great to see McCaughtry get the respect she deserves and continue to be an ambassador for the university. The Dream could use all the help they can get, as they finished a DePaul-esque 4-30 in it's inaugural season in the league. They have added former Tennessee stand-out Chamique Holdsclaw as well to try to get on that win train. Congrats and Good Luck to Angel as she attempts to dominate the pros just as she did college.
