Reigning Big East Player of the Year Luke Harangody of Notre Dame will be out indefinitely with pneumonia as reported by the Associated Press today.
Harangody scored 29 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in a Irish 81-80 win versus Texas on November 25th in the Maui Invitational Tournament but began to feel ill afterwards and despite what seemed like flu like symptoms contributed 13 points and 7 rebounds in 27 minutes against North Carolina, a game the Tar Heels won 102-87.
Harangody was leading the #8 ranked Fighting Irish with 22.6 ppg and 11..2 rpg and the Junior forward has not missed a game in his career before this undisclosed leave.
