Greetings fellow Cards fans. I’m TC, a big fan of and the newest wannabe-sportswriter to join this loosely organized entity known as the L Yes! Report. Later, I will wow you with my hilarious and witty journalistic ability. For now let’s hit some Big East highlights from the past week.
UConn (6-0) looked good this past week, dumping No. 19 Wisconsin by nineteen before rolling first-year DI team Bryant.
The BE’s other Top 5 team, Pitt, remains unbeaten after edging out Pat Knight’s Red Raiders and Washington State back-to-back nights.
After a fifteen point loss to UNC, Notre Dame bounced back to handle the Furman Paladins by thirty-two. They got Ohio State this Saturday.
Nobody rep’d the BE better than Syracuse, beating Florida and Kansas at the CBE Classic in Kansas City. They followed up with a home win against Virginia on Friday and found themselves, deservingly, in the Top 25.
The Georgetown Hoyas took care of Maryland, but not before dropping its first of the season to Tennessee.
This weekend Marquette hosts intrastate rival No. 22 Wisconsin.
Finally, following up Rob’s piece, allow me to be the first to publicly accept Coach Pitino’s apology. How forgiving I’ll be if we drop one of the next four (Indiana State, Ohio, Lamar, and Austin Peay) is, well, yet to be seen.
