As reported by L Yes! this morning, Ole Miss head coach Andy Kennedy was arrested and charged with misdemeanor assault following an incident where he allegedly punched a cab driver and shouted racial slurs.
Local Cincy media is also reporting that Mississippi sports director of operation William Armstrong was also arrested. Apparently Armstrong was bombed, got booted from the Lodge Bar in downtown Cincy, then he and Kennedy grabbed a cab. That's when it hit the fan.
Through his attorney, Kennedy entered a not guilty plea in Hamilton County Court today and "emphatically" denied the assault and making racial slurs. The powers that be have yet to determine whether Kennedy, a Bob Huggins protégé (hey, I'm just sayin'), will coach against the Cards tonight.
In other news, Cards are 15.5 point favorites against Kennedy's, or whomever's, Rebels tonight.
