1. Stephen Curry is just magical. I put myself through actually watching that entire game. Curry misses, misses, then he hits a couple, then he blows a layup. At halftime he had 10 points and 8 dimes...at HALF...and all the talking faces were speaking of Curry struggling...yes from the field but not all around...he gets his teammates involved! He makes the team better, it's as simple as that. In the second half he struggles more, turns the ball over, in and outs 2 three pointers, but then it happens. He knocks in Davidson's final 13 of their 15 points, including 2 huge three pointers which put the nail in the coffin. He's simply amazing!

You know the real weird thing about Curry. He's not overly athletic. Watching him I feel like sometimes I could guard him...THEN he crosses it over or puts it behind his back and strides to the basket against a top defender and you're sitting there scratching your head. Besides athleticism, he's just so small. He's not a big guy, he's just not. Remember how much Tayshaun Prince was ridiculed about his girth and look how it worked out for him. I think Curry's the same kind of guy. He can guard, he has a super quick trigger from anywhere in the gym, hits his free throws, handles the ball above average (but needs to get better), and most importantly has that IT FACTOR. In other words, he's clutch.

2. Whenever Joey Porter's in the news then you know it's gotta be good. Whether it's swinging at a casino, calling a teammate gay, or just being an overall creep...Porter's always good for a quote AND I actually am with him on this one. In a taped interview which will air TODAY on Cold Pizza or whatever the hell they call it now...Porter shares that "Until you've been in that situation, when you've been robbed at gunpoint or you've had a gun waved in your face or had your house broken into before or been carjacked, you really don't know what it's like."

For once, I agree with Porter. Who is the media to say if an athlete should/shouldn't carry a gun. These guys are noticeable figures. I couldn't point out a CEO of most major companies but I could a pro athlete. Hey, I'm the guy who pointed out Thebo Shefolosha at a restaurant in Chicago. Anyways, Porter's right. Honestly, how many of you feel safe in Louisville late at night? How many feel safe wandering the streets of Creekside Apartments at night? Point taken yet? These guys have tons of cash, tons of bling, tons of poon, tons of everything. Plus, when you're in the limelight like a Plaxico, you don't wanna go down like a bitch. Plax ended up going down like a bitch but in a much different way.

3. Lastly, what is going on with Digger Phelps and Bobby Knight...really. I mean c'mon. It's going to be tough watching Digger and Knight take fake friendly jabs at one another and then laugh about it while a national audience is watching. Even John Saunders last night had the look of "what the hell". At halftime of the Davidson/WV game they talked more about Bobby Knight refusing to wear a suit and tie his entire life. One may now ask...who cares?

I'm starting to think these two have something together. Whatever it may be...don't let them room together the night before college game day!
