T Will Getting Extra Attention from Pitino

Courier-Journal U of L beat writer C.L. Brown has a good piece on what's plaguing T Will's jumper, and the advice he's getting from Coach Pitino as what to do about it.

Williams is averaging 10.6 points per this season, and is coming off a 20 point, 8-13 shooting outing (3-6 from behind the arc) against Austin Peay. But he's hitting less than 39% of his FGs on the season and is 30% from three.

According to Brown, Pitino has been working with his senior captain to eliminate the twisting motion Williams does with his wrist during his release.

It's the humble opinion of this author that T Will's percentages will improve vastly if he continues to get himself open like he did last Saturday. And that's as close as to "criticism" you'll ever get from me when it comes to Number 1. By the way, is should be noted that, generally speaking, most of T Will's shots are of the relatively "high-percentage" variety. See above.
