Thoughts From the Desk of TGIF Already

I think I'm ready for the weekend and a few ice cold $1 drafts at my favorite eatery. (You're welcome for the free advertisement, girls.) I think it's weird we park on driveways and drive on parkways. I think Fridays were made for long lunches and web-browsing. Needless to say, I'm really full right now, and well, here you go...

E5 sits atop the list of impressive future NBAers, at least according to ESPN’s Chad Ford.

Anybody find it amusing that Bobby Petrino is so terribly unequipped to handle media speculation he has to refer questions to his attorney? I do.

Interested in how each college football coach voted his final Top 25? USA Today’s got cha covered with this fancy link. And Thomas Neumann’s got a few things to say about it.

Starting Syracuse guard Eric Devendorf and Coach Jim Boeheim haven’t quite come to grasp with the centuries-old, well-settled rule that you can’t hit girls.

Imagine that! A former UK Wildcat accused of cheating. Unfortunately, looks like he could be facing a steeper penalty than a few years NCAA probation this time around.

Not sick of the media’s tireless infatuation with the Dallas Cowboys and the surrounding “drama?” Then you’re not watching enough SportsCenter.

So, who’s gonna win the Heisman? My money’s on Sam Bradford, but I got the inside scoop.
Finally, some early bowl game spreads (and dates) of interest:

  • Magicjack St. Petersburg Bowl: South Florida – 13 vs. Memphis (12/20)

  • Meineke Car Care Bowl: WVU +1 vs. UNC (12/27)

  • Papajohns.com Bowl: Rutgers – 7 vs. NC State (12/29)

  • Sun Bowl: Pitt +3 vs. Oregon State (12/31)

  • FedEx Orange Bowl: Cincinnati – 2 vs. Virginia Tech (1/1)

  • Rose Bowl Presented by Citi: USC – 10 vs. Penn State (1/1)

  • AutoZone Liberty Bowl: East Carolina – 2 vs. Kentucky (1/2)

  • Allstate Sugar Bowl: Alabama – 10 vs. Utah (1/2)

  • International Bowl: UConn – 4 vs. Buffalo (1/3)

  • Tostitos Fiesta Bowl: Texas – 9.5 vs. Ohio St. (1/5)

  • FedEx BCS National Championship: Florida – 3 vs. Oklahoma (1/8)

OK you knuckleheads. Get back to work.
