Finally, the game is here, UL v. UK. During the preseason, we thought the Cards would blow the Cats out of the water, but now, the picture is not so clear. UL has dropped games to UNLV, WKU, and Minnesota. A team once ranked #3 in the country will probably not be ranked when the next polls come out. UK, on the other hand, may crack the top 25, whether or not they beat Louisville. (Although it's doubtful if the Cards win.)

The Big Blue suffered their 3 losses to VMI (Virginia Military Institute), North Carolina, and Miami, two of which were ranked and the VMI loss was the first game of the year. Also, VMI lead the nation in scoring last year. I hate to say it, but if UK played UL's schedule, the Cats might be undefeated. Patrick Patterson is coming in to his own and Jodie Meeks finds that hot streak more often than not. At the beginning of the year, I thought for sure that UL would crush UK, but now I'm not so sure. I thought Samuels and Jennings would destroy Patterson, but Samuels is not near as good as his hype and Jennings doesn't even play. UL can't shoot, pass, play defense, make free throws, and have no go-to-guy.

All that being said, UK 68-UL 61.
